HeretaungaSt Joseph’s Home of Compassion The Home at Heretaunga is in a quiet and pleasant location, yet close to the active community of Upper Hutt. In keeping with the philosophy of the Sisters of Compassion, we offer Intermittent Care, Rest Home and Hospital care in a compassionate environment. People of all religious persuasions, or none, are equally welcome here. We have: 61 single rooms with pleasant outlook A full recreational Programme A chapel where Mass is offered daily Visiting at all times Comfortable lounges, one with tea/coffee facilities for visitors Occupational therapy and physiotherapy services 
Residents may have their own phones and television. The spacious grounds are flat and easily accessed and there are three internal courtyards for resident access and use. We have certification with the Ministry of Health. In an attractive and peaceful environment we offer quality care.
