News Archive 2006An Update on Our Donors
We have well and truly passed our “target” of 1,000 new donors in 2005. We acquired 1,736 new donors as a result of our flyers in the Marist Messenger in June from which we acquired 312 new donors including 80 new Compassionate Friends and WelCom in July from which we acquired 280 new donors, including 30 new Compassionate Friends. The “mail-drop” through NZ Post to about 120,000 households in the greater Wellington area, which coincided with the annual Street Day Appeal in early November, generated 950 new donors including 160 new Compassionate Friends. The flyer n NZ Catholic in November so far resulted in just over 100 new donors including 30 new Compassionate Friends. In total, we received 6,300 individual donations from our donors, a number of whom make a number of donations each year.
We now have over 5,000 people who have become donors in support of the works of the Sisters. Our donors are spread throughout the country, although the greatest numbers are from the greater Wellington area, where most of the Sisters’ current activities are concentrated. Since July 2002, we have received over 19,000 individual donations from our donors. 14 March 2006
