Albert
 This picture is of Albert who is a regular guest at the Compassion Centre Soup Kitchen.
He is standing outside the carved entrance for our guests. Albert’s photo formed the
front piece for the Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand Booklet for Social Justice Week in 2008.
This year the topic was on “Poverty in an Affluent Society” and contained some helpful information on Poverty in NZ from both statutory and non-government agencies as we
are preparing to vote in the November elections. Albert’s photo was chosen as he
represents the many people in poverty who make an active contribution to the general
community. He offered to keep our carpark clean every day as well as the one for the
Bible Society across the road from us. He also enjoys his photo being taken.
